Volleyball Schedule Features 13 Home Contests

The University of Findlay volleyball team will begin their 2012 season with a trip to Alaska as they are scheduled to play the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (8/31), the University of California-St. East Bay (9/1) and Notre Dame de Namur (9/1) to open the regular season at the Nanook Classic. 

After the Oilers return home, they will host their Findlay Fall Classic and play four schools in two days.  The tournament will begin on Sep. 7 with two contests against Urbana University and the California University Pa.  They will then face Wheeling Jesuit University and the University of Indianapolis on Sep. 8.

The Oilers will begin Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play at home on Sep. 14 against Ashland University before hosting Lake Erie College on Sep. 15.

Findlay will travel to Wayne State University on Sep. 18 before returning home to take on Lake Superior State University (9/21) and Saginaw Valley State University (9/22). 

On Sep. 29 the Oilers will start a road trip at Northern Michigan University, which will be followed by a contest against Michigan Technological University on Sep. 30.  The Oilers will then head to Northwood University (10/5) and Hillsdale College (10/6) before competing in the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover on Oct. 12-13 in Aurora, Ill.

The Oilers will be back in Croy Gymnasium on Sep. 19 to host Ferris State University, which will be followed by home matches against Grand Valley State University (10/20) and Wheeling Jesuit University (10/23).

On Oct. 26 the Oilers head to Tiffin University and then will stay on the road to face Ohio Dominican University on Oct. 27 before hosting Wayne State University (10/30), Walsh University (11/2), Malone University (11/3) and Gannon University (11/6).

The Oilers will conclude their regular season on the road beginning on Nov. 9 at Lake Erie College.  They will then face Ashland University on Nov. 10 before the GLIAC Tournament, which begins on Nov. 14.
