The University of Findlay volleyball team fell 3-2 (25-23, 17-25, 18-25, 25-20, 6-15) to the University of Alaska Fairbanks on Friday, August 31 in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Juniors Danielle Tafflinger and Mackenzie Vorst led the team with 14 and 11 kills, respectively. Tafflinger tallied seven blocks in the loss.
Sophomore Amanda Calhoun had 41 assists while freshman Becca Shoemaker registered a team-high 24 digs.
As a team, the Oilers committed 26 hitting errors and 11 serving errors. Findlay will return to action today in the Nanook Classic as the Oilers face both Cal State East Bay (3 PM EST) and Notre Dame de Namur (9 PM EST).
