The University of Findlay volleyball team knocked off Saginaw Valley State University by a score of 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-20) on Saturday, September 22 in Findlay, Ohio. The Oilers improve to 3-2 in GLIAC action while evening out (6-6) on the 2012 season.
Mackenzie Vorst and Danielle Taflinger had 15 and ten kills, respectively, as Taflinger produced five blocks for Findlay.
Vorst hit .382 during the match while Taflinger recorded a .667 hitting percentage.
Amanda Calhoun generated 34 assists for the Oilers to pace the offense. She and Becca Shoemaker tallied eight digs apiece as well in the victory.
The Oilers will now travel to Northern Michigan University for a match on Saturday, September 29. The GLIAC match is slated to begin at 4 p.m.
