The University of Findlay volleyball team was defeated 3-1 (26-24, 24-26, 16-25, 15-25) by Northwood University on Friday, October 5, in Highland, Michigan. The loss gives the Oilers an 8-7 record on the season, including a 5-3 mark in the GLIAC.
Junior Mackenzie Vorst recorded 15 kills to pace the Oilers in the contest while junior Danielle Taflinger had nine.
Sophomore Samantha Granger also chipped in with seven kills of her own in the loss while sophomore Amanda Calhoun generated 37 assists and eight digs in the match.
Senior Brittany Hall generated 16 digs as Vorst had three blocks for Findlay.
The Oilers will travel to Hillsdale College to face the Chargers on Saturday, October 6. First serve is slated tomorrow for 2 p.m.
