Taflinger Named Honorable Mention All-American
Junior Danielle Taflinger of the Oilers volleyball team was named honorable mention all-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Monday, Dec. 3. Taflinger becomes the first Oilers volleyball player to achieve this status at the NCAA Division II level.
Taflinger, a first team all-Midwest Region pick, led the Oilers with 310 kills and also had a team-high .352 hitting percentage. Her hitting percentage ended up the second best mark in the conference as well.
The Lima, Ohio native and first team all-conference pick also tallied 108 total blocks and 31 digs on the defensive side of the net.
