The University of Findlay Volleyball team opened their season with a 3-0 (25-19, 28-26, 27-25) win over Sioux Falls on Friday, September 6 at the Shark Classic in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Senior Mackenzie Vorst led the attack with nine kills while senior Danielle Taflinger and sophomore Julie Lyons added six kills each. Lyons also contributed with five aces in the win.
Junior Amanda Calhoun was a key to the offense, racking up 26 assist and five kills.
Senior Jaqui Endre led the defense, collecting 16 digs.
The Oilers will take the court again today at 2pm against Lynn University.
