Oilers Drop 1st Match of GLIAC/GLVC Crossover

The University of Findlay volleyball team fell to University of Wisconsin-Parkside 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-22) in their first match of the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (GLVC/GLIAC) Crossover in Aurora, Illinois on October 25 dropping the Oilers record to 12-9 overall.

Findlay was led offensively by senior Mackenzie Vorst who had nine kills in the loss.

Junior Amanda Calhoun had a big day for the Oilers as she collected six kills with a .417 hitting percentage, 24 assists, and four digs.

Other big offensive contributors included freshman Hannah Tong who had eight kills, sophomore Julie Lyons who had six kills, and freshman Andrea Roach who also had six kills.

The defense was led by senior Brittany Hall and junior Samantha Granger. The pair collected nine and eight digs, respectively.

The Oilers will look to rebound tonight at 6:30 as they take on McKendree University who comes in with a record of 7-15.
