Volleyball Adds 4 for 2014

The University of Findlay volleyball program announced the signing of four new Oilers; Megan Wendel, Amanda Winner, Erika Roach and Madelyn McCabe for the 2014 season.

Megan Wendel is a 5'6 libero from Osgood, Ohio where she attends Marion Local High School. In her junior year she received first team all-MAC (Midwest Athletic Conference), second team all-district and honorable mention all-Ohio honors. For her senior season, she was named first team all-MAC, first team all-district and second team all-Ohio. Wendel helped lead the Marion Local Flyers to the Division IV State Championship in each of the past two seasons.

Amanda Winner, a 5'9 outside hitter from Versailles High School, is a three time first team all-MAC and first team all-district pick. In 2013 Winner was named the District 9 MVP and led her team to a Division III State Championship the same year. Winner was also named second team all-MAC during her junior year for basketball and first team all-MAC her sophomore and junior years for track.

Erika Roach is a 5'11 outside hitter from Denver, Colo. and is the younger sister of current Oiler right side hitter, Andrea. Erika was named second team all-conference in her sophomore season and first team all-conference in her junior and senior years. She was all named to all-state in 2013.

Madelyn McCabe, a 5'4 setter and defensive specialist from Oregon, Ohio, was named honorable mention all-TRAC (Tri-Rivers Athletic Conference) and honorable mention all-district in 2013. McCabe, who played for Toledo St. Ursula Academy, helped her team to Division I Final Four appearances in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
