The University of Findlay volleyball team defeated Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Northwood University Timberwolves on Saturday, September 20 by a final of 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-13).

The Oilers, who are now 7-2 on the year with a 4-0 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), were led offensively by junior Julie Lyons, who posted a .750 kill percentage by collecting 10 kills on 12 tries. Sophomore Hannah Tong smashed eight kills in the match while sophomore Andrea Roach and freshman Nickyla Garverick each had seven. Garverick was a beast defensively as she amassed 10 blocks.

Senior Amanda Calhoun played well as she picked up 32 assists and six digs for the Oilers while junior libero Becca Shoemaker led the way with 14 digs.

The Oilers hit the road for their next contest as they travel to Hillsdale for a GLIAC matchup vs. the Chargers. That match is set to begin at 7:00 this Tuesday, September 23.
