Box Score

The University of Findlay volleyball team got sweet revenge on the Chargers of Hillsdale on Tuesday, October 28, winning by a final of 3-0 (25-23, 25-12, 25-13). The win for the Oilers avenged a 3-0 sweep by the Chargers earlier in the season. Findlay improved their record to 16-6 overall and a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South leading 11-3.

Sophomore Hannah Tong and redshirt freshman Nickyla Garverick smashed all night as they each picked up 13 kills in the sweep. The pair also played well on the other side of the net as Tong had three blocks and Garverick led the team with five.

Helping make the offense go was senior Amanda Calhoun who collected 37 assists in the match. She also had three blocks.

Doing the work defensively was junior Becca Shoemaker. The libero led the team with ten digs. Also doing well in that category was freshman Megan Wendel and senior Samantha Granger who each had eight.

The Oilers will be back in action this weekend as they host the Cavaliers of Walsh University in a match slated to begin at 7:30pm.
