Volleyball to Host TownePlace Suites Classic

The University of Findlay volleyball team will host the TownePlace Suites Findlay Classic on Sep. 10-12 in Croy Gymnasium. Participating in the event will be six teams, representing three Division-II conferences, and will consist of a total of 12 matches.

The Oilers enter the event having notched a 2-2 mark on their trip to Golden, CO.

Junior Hannah Tong is leading Findlay as she sits in second in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) in both kills (67) and kills per set (4.47). Also playing well are junior Andrea Roach and sophomore Nickyla Garverick who are each in the GLIAC top five in hitting percentage. Freshman Hailee Olsen has been an offensive key as she has contributed with 191 assists in her first four collegiate matches while senior Becca Shoemaker has racked up a team-leading 50 digs.
