Volleyball Receives 39 Votes in Latest National Poll

The University of Findlay volleyball team received 39 votes in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NCAA Division II poll, which puts them just outside the top-25 at 26th.

The Oilers are 14-3 on the season and riding an 8-match winning streak. The Oilers are hitting .312 as a team this season, the best mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and the second-best percentage in all of NCAA Division II.

Senior Julie Lyons leads the GLIAC and ranks sixth nationally with a .437 hitting percentage. Sophomore Nickyla Garverick ranks second in the GLIAC and tenth in the nation in hitting percentage at .414.

Freshman Hailee Olson leads the GLIAC with 12.08 assists per set, which is also the fifth-best mark in the nation.
