The University of Findlay volleyball team traveled to the Great Lakes Center in Aurora, Ill. for the 2015 Mizuno Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover Tournament on Friday, Oct. 16. In the first match of the weekend, the Oilers fell 3-0 (23-25, 18-25, 22-25) to Wisconsin-Parkside.
Leading the way for Findlay was junior Hannah Tong, who finished with 12 kills. Freshman Hailee Olson orchestrated the offense as she compiled 27 assists.
Freshman Amanda Winner set the tone defensively with 13 digs, while also contributing with five kills. Senior Becca Shoemaker added 10 dig and sophomore Nickyla Garverick was active at the net leading the team with three blocks.
The Oilers will continue play in the Midwest Region Crossover as they take on Missouri S&T at 6:30pm Friday, Oct. 16.
