The University of Findlay volleyball team traveled to Walsh University on Friday, Nov. 6 to take on the Cavaliers.  The Oilers used a dominant offensive performance, accumulating a .441 kill percentage, to come away victorious as they defeated Walsh 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-14).  The win moves Findlay to 19-7 on the season and to 12-3 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Findlay had three players reach the double digit kill plateau, led by sophomore Nickyla Garverick, who was active on both sides of the net with 12 kills and six blocks.

Junior Hannah Tong and freshman Amanda Winner contributed with 11 kills each.  Winner also helped out defensively with three blocks.  Freshman Kara Scherger had two aces while also recording six digs.

Freshman Hailee Olson set the pace offensively with 44 assists, while senior Becca Shoemaker led the defense with 13 digs.

The Oilers continue their road trip as they travel to Malone University on Saturday, Nov. 7 to take on the Pioneers.  The match is scheduled to begin at 2pm.
