The Oilers are 21-7 on the year with a 13-3 mark in GLIAC contests. They have won six of their last seven matches, including a 3-1 win over 6th-ranked Wheeling Jesuit on Nov. 11.

Junior Hannah Tong is leading the Oilers attack as she has collected 401 kills at 3.97 kills per set, both marks are second best in the GLIAC. She is approaching history as she is 25 kills shy of becoming the ninth player in UF history to record 1,000 career kills.

Senior Julie Lyons has contributed 217 kills while hitting a GLIAC leading .405. That percentage is good for ninth best in the country. She has also recorded 78 blocks. Her 227 career block assists are good for 10th all-time at UF and she can vault into eighth, passing Kara Heitmeyer, if she can reach 230 by season's end.

Freshman Amanda Winner has racked up 314 kills and 179 digs while sophomore Nickyla Garverick has produced 258 kills with a hitting percentage of .400 (second in the GLIAC) and a team-high 79 blocks.

Freshman Hailee Olson leads the GLIAC, by more than 200, with 1,231 assists and 12.07 assists per set. She also has 123 digs, 48 kills and 40 blocks. Her assists per set are good for sixth best in the country while her total assists place her in eighth. She now sits in ninth at UF for assists in a season and needs 74 to pass Amber Breneman's 1998 season, for eighth.

Senior Becca Shoemaker has led the defense with 393 digs. She has 1,320 career digs good for third all-time at UF, needing 30 digs to move into second all-time, passing 2006 graduate and assistant coach, Ann Coger (née Dzierwa). Shoemaker has played in 445 sets in her career, good for ninth all-time. She will pass 2012 graduate, Rachael Hammond when she reaches 448, good for eighth all-time at Findlay.

Freshman Kara Scherger and sophomore Madelyn McCabe have 201 and 159 digs, respectively. McCabe leads the team with 37 service aces.

The Oilers team hitting percentage of .283 leads the GLIAC and is fifth best in the nation.

Lake Erie

The Storm come into the weekend boasting a 9-18 record which includes a 3-13 mark in GLIAC play. They have won three of their last four matches.

Leading Lake Erie College on offense is the play of sophomore Madison Russell who has collected 249 kills so far this season to go along with 16 blocks and seven aces. Freshman Crystal Kendroske is also playing well for the Storm as her 226 kills place her second on the team. She is also second on the team with 16 aces while leading her team with 349 digs.

Picking up the bulk of the assists for LEC are a pair of freshman. Alexis Thomas (495) and Courtney Stedman (293) have combined for 788 assists. Thomas is also playing well defensively as her 209 digs give her the second-highest total on her team.

Ashland
