Top-10 Individual Performances - #4 Hailee Olson

The 2015-16 athletic year was another successful season for the Oilers, who saw a plethora of individual athletes achieve outstanding accomplishments. The UF athletic media relations staff has put together a list of the top-10 individual performances from the 2015-16 campaign and will be revealing them during the month of June.

#4 (Hailee Olson, Volleyball)

Hailee Olson made an instant impact on the Oilers volleyball program and helped lead them to a 26-9 record during her first season with the team. The Oilers won their second consecutive GLIAC South Division title and qualified for the NCAA Division II National Tournament for the first time since the 2003 campaign.

Individually, Olson was tabbed the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NCAA Division II Freshman of the Year. She also earned third team All-American honors. Olson also captured first team all-region accolades and was voted the Midwest Region Freshman of the Year.

From a statistical standpoint, Olson accumulated 1,523 assists in 2015. The total led the GLIAC, ranked third in the nation and was the fifth-best total ever at Findlay. She also led the GLIAC and ranked seventh in the nation in assists per set at 11.89.

While she wasn't assisting the Oilers attackers, Olson was able to generate 56 kills, 54 total blocks and 160 digs. The Malone, Wis. native also recorded 38 aces, the eighth-best mark in the GLIAC.
