Tong Named Academic All-District

Hannah Tong, a senior on the Oilers volleyball team, was named a Capital One Academic All-District 4 pick as the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) released their 2016 all-academic district squads on Nov. 3.

Tong has carried a 3.45 grade point average during her tenure at the University of Findlay and is studying to become an intervention specialist. A standout on the Oilers volleyball team, Tong has twice been named honorable mention All-American and was the 2014 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Attacker of the Year.

The Carey, Ohio native ranks fifth all-time at Findlay with 1,462 career kills. She will now be eligible to earn Capital One Academic All-American honors later in the year.
