Oilers Head to Tiffin/Ashland this Week

The Oilers will close their regular season on the road at Tiffin and Ashland this weekend. They will face Tiffin on Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. before facing Ashland on Nov. 12 at 2 p.m.

Regional Rankings

The Oilers jumped from fifth to second in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional rankings this week. The top-eight teams in the poll at the end of the season will qualify for the NCAA Division II National Tournament. The top team in the region at the conclusion of the season will also earn the right to host the first three rounds of the NCAA Division II National Tournament.

Findlay

The Oilers are 20-7 on the season, their fourth-straight 20-win campaign. They are coming off of a 3-1 win over Cedarville on Tuesday that gave head coach Wick Colchagoff his 400th career victory at Findlay.

The Oilers have been led by senior Hannah Tong and her 410 kills. Tong is hitting .317 and is averaging 4.18 kills per set. She has also chipped in 61 blocks.

Sophomore Amanda Winner has recorded 331 kills, 202 digs and 60 aces while senior Nickyla Garverick has totaled 226 kills and 84 blocks. She is also hitting .384 on the year.

Sophomore Hailee Olson has produced 1,062 assists, senior Malloire Kah has recorded 114 blocks and sophomore Kara Scherger has registered 421 digs.

Tiffin

The Dragons are 18-11 on the season with an 8-7 record in conference play. They feature a balanced offensive attack with Jenna Huffman (325), Olivia Cobb (276), Kasey Adelsperger (232) and Danielle Hicks (219) all over the 200-kill mark on the year.

Huffman has also added 199 digs and 108 blocks while Emily Weithman has racked up 1,171 assists. Taylor Lattimore has led the defense with 579 digs as well.

Ashland

The Eagles are 19-9 on the season with a 10-5 record in GLIAC play. They are ranked eighth in the Midwest Region and have been led by Alli Cudworth, who has recorded 407 kills.

Casey Clark (238), Shelby Woycik (221) and Reanne Neal (208) have all reached the 200-kill plateau while Kayla Pfeiffer has registered 1,031 assists and 222 digs.
