Kin Named Great Midwest Player of the Week

Sophomore outside hitter Shelby Kin was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) West Division Player of the Week on Sep. 11.

Kin led the Oilers to a perfect 3-0 record over the weekend in Erie, Pa. by recording 33 kills and ten total blocks. Kin also hit .400 over the weekend and averaged 3.3 kills per set.

The Carey, Ohio native began the weekend with 11 kills in the Oilers 3-1 victory at Mercyhurst on Sep. 8. She then followed with eight kills in the Oilers 3-0 win over St. Michael's and had 14 kills and six blocks in Findlay's 3-1 win at Gannon on Sep. 9.

Kin ranks second on the team with 59 kills this season and is hitting .314, the seventh-best percentage in the league.
