Oilers Fall at Hillsdale | Earn Share of League Title

The University of Findlay volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-17) at Hillsdale College on Nov. 10 in their final match of the regular season. The Oilers, who earned a share of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) title this year, end the regular season with a 25-5 record.

The Chargers hit .402 in the match and had ten aces. The Oilers meanwhile hit .223, but had 11 total blocks.

Junior Amanda Winner led Findlay with ten kills and six digs while sophomore Shelby Kin had nine kills and a pair of blocks.

Sophomore Ally Duncan registered seven kills and five digs, sophomore Molly Hammersmith had six kills and a block, and freshman Madison Moore contributed four kills and a block.

Junior Hailee Olson led the team with 37 assists and junior Kara Scherger once again paced the defense with 15 digs.

The Oilers will now prepare for the 2017 Great Midwest Tournament, which will take place on Nov. 16-18 at Hillsdale. They will enter the tournament as the No. 2 seed.
