5 Oilers Earn All-Conference Honors

The University of Findlay volleyball program had five individuals earn all-Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) accolades as the league office unveiled their annual postseason awards on Nov. 15.

Juniors Amanda Winner, Hailee Olson and Kara Scherger were all named first team all-conference along with sophomore Shelby Kin, while sophomore Molly Hammersmith was tabbed second team all-league during the 2017 campaign.

Winner leads the Oilers and the league with 3.98 kills per set. She is ranked second in the conference with 418 kills and has also recorded 236 digs, 28 aces and 26 blocks.

Olson leads the conference in assists with 1,176, assists per set (11.09) and service aces per set (0.43). She has also recorded 205 digs, 30 blocks and 29 kills this year.

Scherger ranks second in the league with 5.02 digs per set and is also ranked second with a total of 522 digs. Scherger has also registered 25 aces on the season for Findlay.

Kin ranks second in the conference with a hitting percentage of .348. She has posted 234 kills and leads Findlay with 70 blocks.

Hammersmith has posted 224 kills this year to go along with 50 blocks and 44 digs.
