Zimmermann Leads Oilers At Spartan Invite

The University of Findlay men's and women's cross country teams completed the 2010 Spartan Invitational on Friday, September 17 in East Lansing, Michigan. Christine Zimmermann led the way by taking 59th with a time of 23:10.

Rachel Hosie (23:52), Katherine McHenry (23:57), Brier Sterling (23:59), Stephanie Charnigo (24:10), Lindsey Schmitmeyer (24:33), Alexa Stults (24:52), Ashley Sprunger (24:58), Erin Calvelage (25:00), Catherine Wiemers (25:37) and Abigail Magner (25:48) rounded out the times for the women's squad.

On the men's side, Tim Majoy (26:36) and Jordan Kirwen (26:38) led the way by placing 80th and 82nd respectively.

Justin Eilerman (26:50), Brock Lloyd (26:56), Shoayb Bascal (27:13), Sean Jones (27:14), Colin Walthour (29:09), Simon Bernard (29:11), Luis Velasco (30:43) and Alex Betts (31:14) also competed for Findlay at the event.

The Oilers will be back in action again on October 2 when they run in the Louisville Classic in Louisville, Kentucky.
