Oilers Place 5th At Dayton Flyer 5K

The University of Findlay men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up the Dayton Flyer 5K on Saturday, September 3 in Kettering, Ohio.  The men finished fourth with 111 points while the women took fifth with 97 points.

On the men's side, Justin Eilerman finished 18^th with a time of 16:05.7 while Shoayb Bascal took 26^th at 16:12.9.

Tim Majoy (16:50.6), Jacob Hayes (17:19.0), Joe Guerra (17:34.1), Luis Velasco (17:59.3), Brock Lloyd (18:36.8), Sean Jones (18:50.3), Alex Betts (19:21.3), Colin Walthour (19:57.2) and Dillon Webster (20:11.1) also ran for the Oilers.

On the women's side, Christine Zimmermann placed 25^th with a time of 19:55.7 to lead the team.

Alexa Stults (20:32.7), Samantha Hassen (21:12.0), Abigail Magner (21:18.6), Rachel Hosie (21:41.4), Kayla Sendelbach (21:58.1), Erica Goeltzenleuchter (22:30.4), Shelby Geyer (22:40.4), Rebecca Hoffman (23:32.2) and Jessica Cahill (24:34.3) also competed for Findlay.

The Oilers will be back in action again on September 10 when they compete in the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational.
