Oilers Finish GLIAC Championship in Ashland
The University of Findlay men's and women's cross country teams completed the 2011 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship on Saturday, October 22 in Ashland, Ohio. The men took eighth at the event while the women placed tenth.
On the men's side, Shoayb Bascal finished 15th with a time of 26:19.74 while Sean Jones was 35th after crossing the finish line in 27:02.86.
Tim Majoy (27:36.89), Justin Eilerman (28:25.50), Luis Velasco (28:43.36), Brock Lloyd (29:03.72), Joe Guerra (30:10.13), Connor Walthour (31:46.71) and Alex Betts (31:46.97) also competed for Findlay at the event.
On the women's side, Christine Zimmermann placed 35th with a time of 23:59.42 to lead the team.
Alexa Stults (24:52.94), Abigail Magner (24:55.41), Sam Hassen (25:06.94), Rachel Hosie (25:47.13), Kayla Sendelbach (26:39.95), Taylor Mohr (27:47.52), Shelby Geyer (27:47.85) and Rebecca Hoffman (29:06.35) also finished the event for Findlay.
