Bascal, Zimmermann Take All-Region Honors At Midwest Regional

Men's & Women's Results

The University of Findlay men's and women's cross country teams competed at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional on Saturday, Nov. 5 in Big Rapids, Michigan.  The men took 11th in the event while the women placed 15th. 

On the men's side, Shoayb Bascal set a new school record with a time of 32:56.8 and received all-region honors with his 15th place finish while Sean Jones took 31st with a time of 33:23.7.

Tim Majoy (34:07.6), Justin Eilerman (34:46.1), Luis Velasco (35:15.5), and Joe Guerra (36:32.7) also competed for the Oilers.

On the women's side, Christine Zimmermann received all-regional honors with her 24th place finish and a time of 23:00.1.

Alexa Stults (23:37.7), Abigail Magner (23:59.9), Sam Hassen (24:24.1), Kayla Sendelbach (25:26.0) and Erica Goeltzenleuchter (26:55.4) also finished the event for Findlay.
