Oilers Earn All-Academic Honors

The University of Findlay women's cross country team earned USTFCCCA NCAA Division II All-Academic honors for the 2011 year.

The Oilers were one of 124 teams in the country to achieve the status, joining 11 member institutions from the GLIAC as All-Academic teams.

To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or better and have compiled a score (finished at least five runners) at their respective NCAA regional championship.

Under the direction of Marc Arce and Lisa Klingshirn, the Oilers posted a team GPA of 3.32 in 2011.

Those notable individuals who earned All-Academic honors earlier this month were Abigail Magner and Christine Zimmermann.
