Oilers Place 16th at NCAA II Regional

The University of Findlay men's and women's cross country teams completed the 2012 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional on Saturday, Nov. 3 in Kenosha, Wisc. 

The men took 15th at the event with 425 points and were led by Tim Majoy, who set a new school record.

Majoy placed 28th with a time of 31:56 to break the school record for fastest time while Justin Eilerman recorded the second fastest time in school history after crossing the finish line in 32:27, good for 55th place.

Jacob Hayes (33:31), Joe Guerra (33:56), Brock Lloyd (34:19), Luis Velasco (34:29) and Alex Betts (35:02) also ran for the Oilers at the regional event.

The women took 16th place with a total of 418 points and were paced by Sam Hassen, who finished 67th with a time of 23:04.

Alexa Stults (23:09) and Abigail Magner (23:11) came in 71st and 74th, respectively, while Rachel Hosie (23:30) placed 101st.

Erica Bettac (23:38), Kayla Sendelbach (23:47) and Samantha Grippe (24:44) also competed for Findlay.
