Oilers Compete at the Ohio Weslyan Invitational

Women's Results

The University of Findlay men's and women's cross country teams competed on September 7, 2013 at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational in Delaware, Ohio.  The women's team took sixth place while the men came in ninth.

For the men, junior Jacob Hayes led the way, finishing 16th with a time of 26:45.

Also competing for Findlay were freshman Reid Wolin (28:51), freshman Seth Pemberton (29:29), freshman Aaron Cingle (29:34), sophomore Derek Bornorst (30:32), freshman Josh Seedorf (31:48), sophomore Nick Valerio (32:18), and junior Dillon Webster (32:32).

In the women's race, Findlay freshman Melanie Ruich finished 16th in her first collegiate race with a time of (19:57). Coming in 21st, with a time of 20:07 was sophomore Samantha Grippe. Sophomore Erica Bettac (20:28) finished 30th.

Others placing for the Oilers were senior Samantha Hassen (20:42), sophomore McKenzie Mahlmeister (21:33), freshman Erin Reinhart-Anez (21:52), freshman Maud Sanmiquel (21:58), sophomore Meredith Hoops (23:20), freshman Kailey Coleman (23:23), freshman Bethany Dewey (24:54), and freshman Shelby Stump (25:10).

The men and women are back in action September 13 at the Spartan Invitational in East Lansing, Michigan, with the men running at noon and the women running at 12:35 p.m.
