Cross Country Completes Dickinson Invite

The University of Findlay men and women's cross country teams completed the Dickinson Long/Short Invitational on Sep. 20 in Carlisle, Pa. The events consisted of four different races.

The women's team had a combined score of 161 to finish fifth while the men's team had a combined score of 272 to finish eighth.

Justin Eilerman led the men's team in the 4K by taking 15th with a time of 12:21.41.

Mathias Trampe-Kindt (13:05.76), Jacob Will (13:29), Sean Stockmaster (13:30.93), Josh Seedorf (13:32.38) and John Davis (13:55.67) also competed for Findlay in the 4K.

In the 8K, Jacob Hayes paced the squad with a tenth place finish as he crossed the finish line in 26:26.04.

Aaron Cingle (28:21.77) and Derek Bornhorst (28:25.55) also ran in the 8K for the Oilers.

In the women's 4K, Erica Bettac led the way with a 15th place time of 15:06.44. Samantha Grippe was right behind her as she took 17th with a time of 15:13.41.

Maud Sanmiquel (15:59.84), Kailey Coleman (17:37.61), Pam Showman (17:39.57), Megan Martz (17:56.86) and Bethany Dewey (19:28.61) also ran for Findlay in the 4K.

Taylor Bolinger paced the Oilers in the 6K as she finished 15th with a time of 23:38.59 while Melanie Ruich was 17th at 23:41.72.

Meredith Hoops also ran in the event for Findlay, finishing with a time of 24:51.49.
