Oilers Participate In GLIAC Championship

Men and Women Results

The University of Findlay cross country teams traveled to Milford, Mich. on Saturday, Oct. 24 to participate in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship.

Men's Results

Setting the pace for the Oilers was sophomore Matias Trampe-Kindt (26:16.5) and freshman Ty Gleason (26:21.1) who finished 53rd and 54th respectively.

Rounding out the scoring for Findlay was sophomore Sean Stockmaster (36:39.6) who earned 68th place, freshman Tyler Beck (27:00.5) who finished 78th, and freshman Jonathan Allen (27:17.2) who received 83rd place for his efforts.

Also participating for the Oilers were freshman Austin Guthrie (27:23.6), junior Reid Wolin (27:38.5), freshman Michael Taylor (27:39.2), junior Aaron Cingle (27:58.9), and freshman Troy Schultz (28:09.8).

The University of Findlay men received 336 points and finished 11th out of 15 teams

Women's Results

Leading the way for the Oilers was junior Melanie Ruich (22:52.5) who placed 21st in the race.  Earning 41st was senior Samantha Grippe (23:39.1) and senior Meredith Hoops (24:14.2) finished 56th.

Rounding out the scoring for Findlay were sophomore Taylor Bolinger (25:08.5) who finished 78th and senior McKenzie Mahlmeister (25:10.3) who earned 80th.

Also participating for the Oilers were senior Erica Bettac (26:03.4), freshman Heidi Paxson (27:17.6), freshman Torrie Purdy (28:19.4), and junior Kailey Coleman (28:37.6)

The University of Findlay women received 276 points and finished 9th out of 16 teams.

The Oilers return to action Saturday, Nov. 7 in Evansville, Ind. for the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional.  The meet is scheduled to begin at 11:30am.
