Oilers Break Records at Regional
The University of Findlay cross country teams completed the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional on Nov. 5 in Evansville, Ind. The women finished 14th while the men took 19th.
Women
The Oilers were led by Taylor Bolinger, who finished 28th with a time of 21:38.01. Bolinger's time was the fastest time in school history.
Nicole Burlinson placed 48th at 22:05.00, the fourth-fastest time in school history while Torrie Purdy was 89th after crossing the finish line in 22:56.02.
Melanie Ruich (23:22.50), Jenna Shipman (24:14.47) and Madilyn Greiner (24:48.69) also competed for Findlay.
Men
Jonathan Allen paced the men's squad as he took 31st with a time of 31:24.76, which was good enough to break the school record for the fastest time in UF cross country history.
Matias Trampe-Kindt ran a time of 33:02.84 to place 102nd. His time was the sixth-fastest time in school history.
Michael Taylor placed 124th at 33:32.33, the seventh-best time in school history while Tyler Beck (34:37.62) and Austin Guthrie (35:12.69) also ran for the Oilers at the event.
