Oilers Compete at Detroit Titan Invitational
The University of Findlay men and women's cross country teams performed well this Saturday, September 9 at the Detroit Mercy Titans Invitational in Northville, Mich. The men finished first for the Oilers with 30 points, and the women finished in third with 77 points.
Men's Results
Junior Jonathan Allen led the men's team by finishing in second with a time of 20:45.6.
Five more of our men's runners finished in the top 15 this week. Junior Tyler Beck (21:28.5) and sophomore Ty Gleason (21:29.6) placed seventh and eighth respectively. Finishing close behind were junior Austin Guthrie (21:43.9) in 11th, junior Michael Taylor (21:49.3) in 13th, and freshman Jack Adams in 14th.
Also competing for the Oilers were freshman Ryan Kohout (24:56.1), freshman Joe Lauck (27:10.1), and sophomore Dylan Jacobs (27:29.2).
Women's Results
Senior Taylor Bolinger crossed the finished with a time of 18:54.8, taking third place for the women's squad. Finishing 12th was sophomore Madison Borer with a time of 20:01.5. Not far behind came junior Torrie Purdy (20:09.7) in 15th and sophomore Madilyn Greiner (20:21.5) taking 17th.
Sophomore Jenna Shipman (21:10.4) and sophomore Maggie Kise (22:17.1) also competed for Findlay in Northville.
