Gleason Leads Oilers at All-Ohio
The University of Findlay men and women's cross country teams completed the all-Ohio Championship on Sep. 29 in Akron, Ohio. The men took fifth in the NCAA DII/NAIA standings with 152 points while the women finished seventh with 207.
Ty Gleason paced the men's team and finished 36th overall with a time of 25:13.9, the seventh-fastest mark in school history.
Jonathan Allen also ran well for Findlay and finished 55th at 25:34.7 while Austin Guthrie was 84th at 25:56.7.
Jack Adams came in 110th with a time of 26:19.9, Michael Taylor was 129th at 26:36.0, Drew Toon finished 196th at 27:52.5, Ryan Kohout was 207th at 28:07.6, Wade Hopkins took 244th at 29:21.6 and Dylan Jacobs placed 263rd after crossing the finish line in 30:08.1.
Gabrielle Lawrence led the women's team and finished 30th with a time of 22:37.2, the eighth-best time in program history.
Madilyn Greiner ended up 190th with a time of 25:11.8 while Torrie Purdy finished 198th after crossing the finish line in 25:20.1.
Vannessa Goewert landed in 237th place at 26:29.6, London Moening took 245th at 26:50.2 and Maggie Kise finished 286th at 29:32.2.
The Oilers will be back in action again on Oct. 13 at the Gettysburg Invitational in Gettysburg, Pa.
