Hanna Cenderholm and Neal Davis, Mancuso Award Winners

Cederholm | Davis Earn Mancuso Awards

Senior swimmer Hanna Cederholm and graduate student Neal Davis, a football player, have been selected as the Oilers 2019-20 Mancuso Award winners. The award is named after and sponsored by Iggy Mancuso, a 1945 graduate and highly successful wrestling coach at Findlay from 1948-58.

The award is intended to bring distinction and honor to the top male and female athlete at Findlay each year. The criteria for being selected includes; academic achievement, athletic achievement, contributions to the university, community and sport, sportsmanship, special distinction related to athletic success and athletes who best exemplify integrity, loyalty and humility in academics and athletics.

"These two student-athletes truly exemplify what it means to be an Oiler, said Director of Athletics, Brandi Laurita." Hanna and Neal have had great success athletically and academically and are truly outstanding individuals who do a tremendous job of representing our university."

Hanna is majoring in animal science with a minor in chemistry and carries a 3.90 grade point average. In the pool, Hanna was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Swimmer of the Year in 2020 after winning six league titles. She is also highly involved in a variety of things outside the pool as well. Hannah is the Woodrow Wilson ambassador and has been an international mentor for the Hancock County Youth Leadership Organization.

Neal wrapped up his undergraduate degree with a 3.96 grade point average in education. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in education and has a 4.00 grade point average in the graduate program. Athletically, Neal was a first team all-Great Midwest pick and also earned third team all-Super Region 1 honors.

During his time with the Oilers, Neal was also named to the Google Cloud Academic All-American team. An active member is the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) on campus, Davis has also been a part of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, serving as co-leader in 2019.
