Dustin Pfieifer, men's basketball player

Top Athletes Since 2000 | Dustin Pfeifer

Since we can't play sports, we have decided to look back on the past 20 years and highlight some of the best student-athletes to wear the Orange and Black since 2000. Next up is former men's basketball All-American, Dustin Pfeifer.

Dustin ranks 13th all-time at Findlay with 1,590 career points and is the Oilers all-time leader in assists (561) and steals (328). His steal total is also the 13th-best total in NCAA Division II history.

He began his career with a bang as he was named the 2003 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Freshman of the Year. He then went on to earn all-conference accolades in each of the next three seasons and was voted the 2006 GLIAC Player of the Year.

Dustin was named first team all-Midwest Region by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) in 2005 and 2006 and picked up all-region accolades by Daktronics in each of those years as well.

A first team NCAA Division II All-American in 2006, Dustin also picked up All-American honors from Daktronics, Division II Bulletin, and Basketball Times during his final season with the Oilers.

When his career at Findlay ended, Pfeifer had led the Oilers to 103-24 record. The Oilers qualified for the NCAA Division II National Tournament all four of his seasons from 2003-06 and they won a GLIAC South Division title each year as well.
