Stephen Parrill will be entering his ninth season as the head coach of the Oilers baseball team during the 2022 campaign.

The 2018 season saw Findlay earn their first conference tournament bid in ten years as Coach Parrill led his team to 23 wins, the most in a season since 2008. Parrill coached four players to all-league honors, including a pair of first-team performers.

In 2017, Parrill led the Oilers to their best start in school history, winning 14 of their first 18 games including nine straight games to begin the year. By year's end, Findlay had 18 wins and set a new school record for fielding percentage at .968.

In the 2016 season, Findlay finished the season with 17 wins and had a first team and second team all-GLIAC player. Austin Rodesky, who was the second team performer, shattered a 30 year old school record with 98 strikeouts during the season. Under Parrill's leadership, three pitchers earned National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America (NCBWA) National Pitcher of the Week in 2016. No other school in the country had more than one that year.

In 2015, Parrill guided a young Oilers squad to 12 wins. He saw two of his players earn honorable mention all-league honors for their performance during the year.

Parrill led the Oilers to 12 wins during his first season in 2014, a rebuilding year for the program. He also coached one first team all-conference player and two honorable mention all-conference players during the year.

Parrill was named the Oilers head baseball coach on Aug. 5, 2013. He took over for Troy Berry, who retired as the all-time leader in wins at UF.

Parrill was an assistant coach at the University of Toledo from 1993-2003.  While at Toledo, Parrill served as the recruiting coordinator, infield and hitting instructor, third base coach, strength and conditioning coordinator and also handled the fundraising duties for the team.

Parrill also served as an assistant baseball coach at Indiana University (1989-1992) and Bowling Green State University (1988-89).  He also was the Detroit Tigers batting practice pitcher from 1997-98.

Since 2003, Parrill has been a private baseball instructor and recruiting consultant for prospects of any age.  He also served as the athletic director at St. Ursula Academy in Toledo, Ohio from 2005-13.

Parrill graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in education/recreation in 1988 and was a two-year letter winner on the Buckeyes baseball team. 

He currently resides in Perrysburg, Ohio with his wife, Heidi.  He has two sons, Collin and Griffin, and a daughter, Madalyn.
