Findlay at ODU Chosen for ESPN3 Broadcast

Findlay, OH – The University of Findlay football team will get national exposure yet again this year as their Week 3 matchup at Ohio Dominican University has been selected to be streamed as part of the 2019 NCAA Division II Football Showcase. The game will be broadcast via ESPN3 on the ESPN App. The contest features two of the most successful teams in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) in the last two years and will be played at Panther Stadium in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, September 21 at 12:00 pm. It is the only G-MAC football game selected as a part of the lineup this season and is one of just 11 NCAA Division II games that will be streamed on either ESPN3 in 2019 as part of the DII Football Showcase. It will be the fifth game in three seasons for the Oilers that will be carried by an outside broadcasting syndicate, the most of any school in the league.

"We are thankful for the opportunity to highlight our outstanding football student-athletes from Findlay and Ohio Dominican next month on ESPN3", commented G-MAC Commissioner, Tom Daeger. "It is a great opportunity to display two strong programs in a contest that will go a long way in determining this year's 2019 Great Midwest Champion. It should be an exciting atmosphere at Ohio Dominican's homecoming on Sept. 21 and we thank President Gervasi and the Panthers' staff for accommodating this production"

Last season, the Oilers hosted Ohio Dominican in the fourth week of the season in a nationally broadcast game. Then, in the final week of the season, defeated nationally ranked Tiffin University 38-16 on the road in a game that was part of the national showcase, as well.

Findlay coach Rob Keys said, "We are always excited to get a chance to showcase our program nationally. It is a by-product of our team's success. Our players have allowed opportunities like this to happen and we are really looking forward to playing ODU again in the national spotlight."
