Hebenstreit Named Player of the Week

Findlay, Ohio - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) released their Player of the Week selections following Week 5 of the football season on Monday, Oct. 7. University of Findlay freshman Mitch Hebenstreit was chosen the league's Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Kentucky Wesleyan, a 38-13 win for the Oilers.

Hebenstreit was called upon to punt five times in the game and netted 223 yards for an average of 44.6 yards per punt. He had a pair of punts of 50+ yards and dropped three of his five inside the Panthers' 20-yard line.

For the year, the Fishers, Ind. native is now averaging 44.5 yards per punt, the best average in the conference.
