Defensive Coordinator Jason Makrinos Takes Job at Kent State

Findlay, Ohio – University of Findlay assistant football coach Jason Makrinos has left his position as the team's Defensive Coordinator, effective Monday, Jan. 25, and will now head to Kent, Ohio where he has accepted a position as Cornerbacks Coach at Division I Kent State University of the Mid American Conference (MAC).

Makrinos spent five full seasons with the Oilers, helping guide Findlay to it's first-ever NCAA DII Playoffs in 2017, just his third year with the program. Makrinos coached nine all-conference defensive backs/safeties in his time at UF, two of which went on to earn all-region honors and one, Christopher Jefferson in 2019, who earned multiple first team all-American accolades.
