Findlay to Remember the Life of Miles Davis with Ceremonial Coin Toss

Findlay, Ohio – On Saturday, Oct. 29, the Oilers football team will be joined on the field by Miles Sr. and Carey Cameron-Davis, the parents of former Findlay football player Miles Davis who tragically lost his life this past spring. Miles Sr. and Carey will perform the coin toss prior to the start of the contest which will take place at 11:55 am.

Davis was a member of the initial 2011 recruiting class of former head coach Rob Keys and current head coach Kory Allen. An offensive lineman, Davis worked his way up the depth chart and by his senior year, had earned a starting spot in the trenches. After his senior season, he returned to Findlay as an assistant to the coaching staff for one season.

"Miles was Orange & black plain and simple.  He accomplished things in his playing career that some thought unachievable", said Coach Kory Allen, who worked with Davis on a daily basis while he served as the coach of the offensive line. " We continue to mourn the loss of our brother, teammate & friend.  The Davis family was and always will be a big part of Oiler Nation, specifically the football program.  We are happy that Miles Sr and Carey Anne have accepted our invitation to return to Donnell Stadium.  We will honor the life of a true Oiler.  We will forever grateful that the Davis family came into our lives. #75Forever".
