#11 Oilers Win Big Over Cedarville

The #11 Oilers men's basketball team came away with a 96-68 win at Cedarville University on Nov. 14 in the Callan Athletic Center.

The Oilers jumped out to a 48-31 lead at the break and then cruised through the second half to earn their second victory of the season in as many games.

Senior forward Greg Kahlig led the way with 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists while junior forward Jake Heagen contributed 13 points and a career-high tying 12 rebounds.

Freshman guard Ricardo Smith and sophomore guard Dylan Kaufman also reached double figures in the win with 12 and ten points, respectively.

Freshman guard Austin Gardner came off the bench to contribute eight points and five assists while sophomore guard Alphonso Baity had eight points, four assists and three rebounds.

The Oilers shot 50 percent (34-of-68) from the floor and drained 13-of-25 (52%) shot attempts from behind the three point line.  Findlay also out-rebounded the Yellow Jackets by a 47-32 margin and forced 14 turnovers in the victory.

Jason Cuffee led Cedarville with 17 points and seven boards.

The Oilers will have a quick turnaround as they face Wheeling Jesuit University on Monday, Nov. 18 in Wheeling, W. Va.
