#13 Oilers Cruise Past Panthers | Win 96-77

The University of Findlay men's basketball team cruised to a 96-77 win over Kentucky Wesleyan College on Jan. 27 in Croy Gymnasium. The Oilers, who are ranked 13th in the nation, extended their winning streak to 16 games while pushing their record to 20-2 on the year.

The Oilers shot 50 percent (34-of-68) from the floor and made 14-of-34 (41.2%) attempts from behind the three point line. They also held a 37-32 advantage on the boards and came away with nine steals in the victory.

Junior forward Alex White led the charge with a career-high 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting. He also added five rebounds and a pair of blocks in the game.

Senior guard Martyce Kimbrough had 18 points and a career-high seven rebounds while senior guard Elijah Kahlig had 15 points, going 5-of-9 from three point range, to go along with five assists.

The Oilers received strong play off the bench in the win as sophomore forward Aaron Overhiser had 14 points and six rebounds in only 17 minutes of action.

Freshman forward Anthony Masterlasco also played well off the pine with ten points and six rebounds.

Senior forward Taren Sullivan, who departed the game in the first half with an injury, had five points, five rebounds, three steals and two blocks.

The Panthers, who made 50.8 percent (32-of-63) of their field goal attempts, were led by Rasheide Bell's 18 points.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Feb. 1 when they travel to Canton, Ohio to face Malone University at 6pm.
