#14 Oilers Rout Tiffin 110-85

The 14th-ranked University of Findlay men's basketball team scorched the nets in their 110-85 win over Tiffin University on Feb. 2 inside the Croy Physical Education Center. The Oilers improved to 18-3 on the year with the victory and are now 12-2 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.

The Oilers put up 61 points in the first half and ended the game by shooting a season-high 64.7 percent (44-of-68) from the floor. They also made half of their three point shots, finishing 8-of-16, and outrebounded the Dragons by a 40-29 margin.

Senior forward Alex White paced the Oilers with his ninth double-double of the season. White finished the game with 18 points and 11 boards, making 9-of-12 attempts from the field.

Sophomore forward Chazz George posted a career-high 17 points off the bench on 5-of-6 shooting while junior forward Aaron Overhiser and freshman guard Ethan Linder contributed 15 points apiece.

Senior guard Trey Smith reached double figures with 11 points to go along with four rebounds and three assists while freshman forward Deven Stover had 11 points and six rebounds in 19 minutes of action off the pine.

Sophomore guard Tommy Schmock nearly reached double figures with eight points and tied his career-high with ten assists.

The Dragons were led by Thomas Hickman's 18 points.

The Oilers will now prepare for a first place game at Hillsdale College on Feb. 9. The game is scheduled to tip at 3pm.
