Oilers Ink 3 Transfers

The University of Findlay men's basketball program announced the signing of three transfers who will be eligible to compete for the Oilers during the 2019-20 season.

Tre'Maine Gray, a 6'1, 170-pound guard from Sinclair Community College, will have two years remaining at Findlay. At Sinclair, Gray averaged 17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals per game.

"We have not signed a lot of junior college players in the past, but we really saw Tre'Maine as a great fit in terms of character, talent, and work ethic," said head coach Charlie Ernst. "His athleticism and unselfishness are the two things that stood out the most in our evaluation of him."

Gray prepped at Akron Firestone and was named the City Player of the Year after averaging 25 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists per contest.

"He has a motor that just will not stop and has the ability to score in bunches by either knocking down three's or getting to the rim with a thunderous dunk," said Sinclair coach Jeff Price.

Eisley Swaine, a 6'2, 185-pound guard from Northwest Oklahoma State University, will have three years remaining at Findlay. As a freshman, Swaine appeared in 20 games for the Rangers.

"Eisley will be a great addition to our program," said Ernst. "He is a natural leader and possesses the versatility to play multiple positions. He was looking for a change and we're happy that his new home is in Findlay."

A native of England, Swaine averaged 24 points and 7 assists per game in high school at Queens Ethelburgas Collegiate. He was also selected as the conference player of the year twice.

Andrew Emrick, a 6'9, 215-pound forward from Fairmont State University, will have one season remaining at Findlay. He averaged 10.9 points and 3.5 rebounds per game last season as a junior and 10.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game as a sophomore. He was also a key contributor on Fairmont State's run to the national championship game as a freshman.

"We tried to sign Andrew out of high school and his family has deep ties to Findlay," said Ernst. "Needless to say, we are thrilled to be able to add a player with his experience, talent, and size to our program. We expect him to make a big impact and feel like his game fits well with our system."

Emrick played his high school basketball at Lakota East and was a teammate of former Oilers All-American, Alex White. He was named all-Great Miami Conference and was selected to play in the Ohio Region 15 All-Star Game.
