Oilers Slam Carlow 106-52

The University of Findlay men's basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 106-52 win over Carlow University on Nov. 26 in Niekamp Arena. The win gives the Oilers a 2-4 record on the season.

Findlay shot 56.5 percent (39-of-69) from the floor and recorded 29 assists in the win. They also held a 46-33 advantage on the boards and limited the Celtics to a mere 30.3 percent (20-of-66) shooting clip.

Junior forward Brady Wildermuth led seven Oilers in double figures with a career-high 13 points in 16 minutes of action. Wildermuth also added five boards and a pair of assists in the game.

Senior forward Andrew Emrick provided 12 points and seven rebounds while junior guard Tre'Maine Gray, freshman guard Joey Edmonds, and junior guard Tommy Schmock all had 11 points. Schmock also recorded nine assists and three steals.

Freshman forward Nathan Bruns recorded ten points and seven boards while senior forward Aaron Overhiser had ten points and six rebounds.

Junior forward Chazz George was valuable off the bench with seven points and six rebounds while sophomore guard Ethan Linder, sophomore forward Dondre Palmer, and sophomore forward Deven Stover all had six points apiece in the win.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Dec. 5 when they open up Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play at Ohio Valley University. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
