Oilers Defeat Dragons 93-75

The University of Findlay men's basketball team improved to 18-6 on the year with a 93-75 win over Tiffin University on Feb. 15 in Niekamp Arena. The victory pushes the Oilers Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) record to 13-2 as well.

The Oilers shot 62.9 percent (39-of-62) from the floor and made 8-of-18 (44.4%) tries from behind the three point line. They also forced 15 turnovers and limited the Dragons to a 41.4 percent (29-of-70) shooting clip.

Junior guard Tommy Schmock led the way with a career-high 20 points and 13 assists. He converted 9-of-12 attempts from the floor and also added a pair of rebounds and a steal.

Freshman forward Nathan Bruns had 16 points, five rebounds, and three blocks while senior forward Aaron Overhiser and sophomore guard Ethan Linder each recorded 12 points apiece.

Junior guard Tre'Maine Gray came off the bench to tie his career-high with 11 points and established a new career-high with five rebounds.

The Dragons were led by Brevin Bimble's 22 points.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Feb. 20 when they travel to Painesville, Ohio to face Lake Erie College. The contest is scheduled to tip at 7pm.
