Noblesville, Ind. – The University of Findlay men's golf team, ranked sixth in the initial DII Midwest Regional Rankings, was in Indiana on Sunday, April 7 for the Greyhound Invitational hosted by the University of Indianapolis. Through 18 holes of play, Findlay sits in a tie for fifth out of 18 teams after posting a 293 (+5).

Junior Luke Kelly was the Oilers' top finisher, posting an even-par 72 in the opening round. Kelly birdied the first hole of the day and later made birded on the fifth and 13th holes, both of which are par 5s. The Brownsburg, Indiana native, playing in his home state, is in a tie for 11th in the overall standings.

In a tie for 18th are senior Dylan DeWitt and freshman Caleb Westfall who each posted rounds of 73 (+1). DeWitt was two-under through nine holes, making birdies on one, six, and nine, but shot three-over on the back to finish with a 73.

Freshman Tanner Grzegorczyk and junior Sam Griffith each posted rounds of 75 (+3) to round out the scoring for the Oilers.

Competing as an individual was freshman Hunter Foltz who turned in the Oilers' best score of the day, shooting a 71 (-1). He is currently in a tie for ninth in the individual standings.

The second round will be tomorrow, April 8, with the event concluding on Tuesday.
