Oilers Lose on the Road in Nashville, TN

Nashville, TN - The University of Findlay men's soccer team took a loss on the road against Trevecca Nazarene University on September 15 in Nashville, TN. The final score of the game was 3-1.The Oilers are now 2-5-0 on the season with a conference record of 2-2-0 while Trevecca is now 4-2-1 on the season with a conference record of 3-2-0.

The first half was slow for both teams with no goals being scored. Findlay took three shots in the first period while Trevecca Nazarene took two. It wasn't until the beginning of the second period when Trevecca was able to score (48:38), putting them ahead 1-0. The Trojans were able to score two more times (56:06, 60:30) increasing their lead to 3-0.

The Oilers didn't give up as senior Andrew Bricker scored Findlay's first and only goal of the match in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, the Oilers fell too far behind and were unable to defeat the Trojans leaving the final score of the game to 3-1.

Junior Josh Dickinson had two shots on the day and senior Nathan Sier was in goal for the Oilers and was able to pick up four saves in the loss.

The Oilers will host their first home game of the season on Thursday, September 20 against Ohio Dominican. The Great Midwest Athletic Conference matchup is set to begin at 4:00 PM.
