Box Score

Canton, Ohio – The University of Findlay men's soccer team went on the road and suffered a loss at the hands of the Walsh Cavaliers on Saturday, Sep. 17. The Oilers scored a late goal, but it was not enough as the Cavaliers secured a 2-1 victory. With the loss, Findlay falls to 4-2 on the season and 2-1 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play while Walsh stays undefeated at 6-0-1 overall and 3-0 in the G-MAC.

Walsh got on the board first, scoring a goal 17 minutes into the game to take the lead. It wasn't until there was just ten minutes left that the Cavs added to that lead, taking a 2-0 advantage late, nearly icing the game.

With a little more than three minutes left, sophomore Christian Pulashaj scored his fourth goal of the season, pulling the Oilers within one. However, it was not quite enough as Walsh went on to victory.

The Oilers took 15 shots, eight of which were on goal. Those 15 shots were four more than the Cavs who took just 11 shots, six of which were on goal.

Junior Mitchell Hanosh and Palushaj each took a game-high four shots.

Findlay will return home to take on Northwood on Thursday, Sep. 22 at 4:00 pm.
