Bio

John Kidd is entering his second year as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the men's and women's tennis programs in 2020-21.

During John's tenure with the program as a student-athlete with UF between 2012-2016, he was a 4 year varsity letter winner. During his 4 years with the program, he consistently played 1st and 2nd singles and 1st and 2nd doubles for the program.

As a sophomore during the 2013-2014 season, he helped lead the program to its first ever GLIAC championship final before UF joined the GMAC conference.

John was an honorable mention all-conference during his sophomore and junior seasons in the GLIAC before turning it on his senior year.

During John's senior season in 2015-2016, he captured First Team All-Conference awards and was only points away from becoming UF's first ever tennis athlete to win Player of the Year in the GLIAC conference. Also, during John's senior season, he earned the GLIAC Commissioner's Award representing UF in the conference as an outstanding student-athlete. John represented the Men's Tennis Program for UF earning the Coca-Cola Scholar Athlete award his junior and senior years.

John graduated from UF in 2016 with a degree in Finance and double minors in Accounting and Economics.

John also serves as the Assistant Men's Tennis Coach at Findlay High School while helping that program achieve its first ever appearance at the State Team Final Four in 2019. He has helped coach a singles player to the state tournament in 2018 and a doubles team to the state tournament in 2019.

 

John currently runs his own financial planning practice in Findlay, OH
